Meet Your Director
Lauren James is a Christian spiritual director for the ordinary woman longing to meet with an extraordinary God. She creates space for deep soul rest, honest reflection, and genuine encounters with Christ in the ordinary moments of life.
A mama to two little ones. A wife. A scholar. A woman of color and first-generation American daughter of immigrants. She carries a profound love for God, people, and the stories that shape us. She believes in the beauty of the Creator, the original goodness of humanity, the dignity of children, and the sacredness of slowing down to truly listen.
Lauren believes that while suffering is a part of life, it can be held within the container of joy. She is passionate about helping women recognize God’s presence, reflect on His movement, and respond with trust—no matter the season they are in. With a background in behavior analysis, Lauren is particularly interested in how our environment shapes our beliefs about God and faith. Her own journey has included ministry leadership, motherhood, and seminary, where she is currently pursuing a master's in Spiritual Formation at George Fox University.
Through spiritual direction, retreats, and leadership formation, Lauren invites women to step away from the rush of life and into rest. She empowers them to lead, love, and live from a place of deep delight in God.
